Common Questions
How long does therapy last?
People come to therapy for many different reasons, and every person that comes to therapy is unique. For that reason, it can be difficult to have a single answer to this question that applies to everyone. After one to two initial sessions, you’ll be provided some feedback about the type and length of therapy that may be most beneficial. Together, we will frequently discuss your treatment goals, progress, roadblocks, and updated goals. This will help us determine when it is time to lessen the frequency of sessions and/or finish our work together.
Do you take insurance?
Currently—no. I am not currently associated with any insurance panels and many of the specific services I provide are often difficult to get approved by insurance companies. For example, adults are rarely provided coverage for ADHD assessments.
Instead, I strive to have open, transparent pricing for my services. I am also able to process Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts.
If you are interested in services but finding it difficult to pay, please do not hesitate to schedule a free consultation. I am able to offer a limited number of reduced-price slots and would be happy to discuss options with you.
How long does it take to complete an assessment?
Assessments typically include multiple appointments and often include requests for academic and possibly medical records. Report writing will be completed throughout the process to ensure that once all information is collected, you will be able to schedule a feedback session about a week later. The report will be finalized shortly after the feedback session and you will receive a copy for your records.
